Pickering of Bath., Bound in blue-green straight-grained morocco with roll-tooled gilt border of formalised lotus plants. Within the outer border is a further band of blind-tooled decoration with lotus flower tools at each corner, in blind, and within this a single gilt-line rectangular frame with segmented corners. The spine is divided into five compartments betwen raised bands, the latter being wide and having gold tooling upon them.
